Oculus co-founder, Brendan Iribe had his twitter account reportedly hacked as a result of a massive MySpace data dump which occurred last month.
The hacker posted a mischievous message through the social media account:
“We here @oculus are very excited to announced our new CEO @Lid ! :)”
The message has since been deleted and normal operations of the account restored.
Reports on infosecurity-magazine.com indicates that 10s of millions of people are already infected by a malware that sends every saved username and password from browsers like Chrome and Firefox back to the hackers. Thus reinforcing the need for two-factor authentication.
